Consult:
An initial conversation is had to discuss the details of the project, followed by a meeting at the site of the project. I work with existing design ideas or begin designing from scratch, based on the outcomes of the meeting.
Process
Design:
Beginning with pencil and paper, ideas are sketched into rough renderings and submitted to clients for review. Once a design is determined, a scale drawing is made to determine dimensions and proportions.
Layout:
A layout is created from the scale drawing to determine the details and best approach for building.
Build:
Forging and fabrication. Material is cut, hammered, formed and welded together to assemble the parts of the framework. Grinding, sanding and finishing are done in the final stages to create a flow of the overall aesthetic.
